word game cheatersDon’t you just hate it when you’re in the middle of a great Words With Friends game and someone manages to luck out with a word like “atropine”? Maybe it’s only frustrating when the rest of their words up until that point were elementary level. Either way, cheating sucks. The only thing that sucks more than cheating is wanting to cheat and not knowing how to.

Sometimes you’ve got to fight fire with fire. Or, in this case, “geraniol” with “larniest“. You no longer have to be just a victim. Defend yourself in the constant war of cheating. Let me put you on to some of the best ways to get your cheat on with Scrabble, Words With Friends, and other word games.

I wish there was a site where cheaters are reported! I am in the middle of a game with "BettiefromCanada" in Hanging with Friends. It's our third game. I've been playing this game for 4 years now, almost daily. I'm pretty good but this player has won all the games so far. Each game has lasted for about 25 words each - and she won by a landslide. In the game going on now, I have one balloon left, she has 2. I thought this person was really smart but now I'm beginning to believe she is a cheater. I decided to see if anyone has created a space to report suspected cheaters, only to find this place. BettiefromCanada folks, invite her to play, if you have the same experience as I am, call her on it, as I am about to do.

i want to know how someone can see that i was using a word app. i have a large vocab to begin with - play a lot of word games but i always keep dictionary.com open to check words that have been played. i was accused of cheating on screen by another app! how did/do they do this

What is the point of even playing using these apps? you are not actually 'winning' ! Just using a computer to find obscure words for you... what could be more infantile and pointless. Not to mention boring. Genuinely winning a hard fought game through your own knowledge and skill is a great feeling, but I just don't see the point of 'winning' through cheating

With jonathon on this one but with one friend who definitely cheats the tile distribution seems to be always going her way as well, even if I cheat in retaliation I never win because I don't ever get favourable tiles, is there a cheat she uses to manipulate tile distribution?

    I agree with Jonathan Cohen.

For the casual player a viable anti cheat tool could be based on existing cheat engines but provide but provide the probability of an opponent cheating over the course of multiple plays.

    Does such a tool exist?
