Reviews are fine but you need to specify in which country any company originates. For example, a couple of so-called “free” VOIP services shown here are based in the UK. I am based in the US, and prefer to use a company sort of local to me.

Also, “free’ should mean just what it says. Unfortunately, it means something else in many of the reviews.

I have discovered JustVoip. Justvoip comes with a windows desktop app to call

from PC to phone with very low cost, or even for free for some country landlines.They have a fair use policy though,

that is not so clear to me. But the app displays the cost for the call to make very clearly. Also great for sending

sms-es at only 4,5 eurocent per sms.

Forgot to say that skype can do free pc-to-pc calls but can skype do that only to an other pc using skype or can skype do that to an other free pc-to-pc voip software ?

same with icall you have to pay for calling to an other pc after only 5 min :Ã¸ ?

I also use magic jack. If you experience dropped calls on your router, I suggest you flash your linksys router to dd-wrt or tomato firmware if your router supports it.

By doing so, I went from a lot of dropped calls to basically none!

Magic jack all the way. Been using it for 2 years. Call quality to UK is superb, much better than Vonage. Magic Jack uses ATT for their calls. In US is great and you can take it with you all over the world and it thinks you are in the US and gives you USA free calling.

I made the mistake of using the phone to talk to my girlfriend in another country for every day for two months… I have a phone bill of Â£400 due to their damn fair use policy. I use skype now.
