We kick off this edition with a free song from Kingston 530. The young band is currently recording their debut album and they need a little support to make it happen. We then dive into soul, electronic, dubstep, folk, rock, and pop music, bringing together a truly creative mix.

FREE SONG: Kingston 530 – Long Time Coming

Long Time Coming is the first single of Kingston 530’s upcoming debut album by the same name. The Boston based band finished 3rd in the nationwide US Hard Rock Calling Ambassadors of Rock Competition last year and is looking to make 2011 even bigger. PJ Morton – Independently Major
Genre: alternative, pop, soul

Justus Clarke – Livin’ It
Genre: pop, rhythm & blues, soul
Justin mixed, mastered, and produced his debut album in GarageBand and Audacity. Like an old school musician, he didn’t use any samples, but played did all the instruments himself. LovelyLady, the oldest song of the album, was written when Justin was in 5th grade. He is now 16 and sounds mature like (at least) 21.

Mochipet – Hello My Name Is Mochipet
Genre: experimental, electronic, dubstep, glitch-hop
David Y Wang, the creative mind behind Mochipet, introduces himself as “a man who tours the world playin music in a purple dragon dino suit.” The record label of the Japan-born and California-based producer has released a free compilation of Mochipet’s previous work, which will be followed up by his latest album Chicxulub.

Shinesparkers – Harmony of a Hunter

Emissary – The Christian Album
Genre: alternative, hip hop
Emissary: “Music is not about how many records you can sell, but how many lives you can touch.” Apparently, music also is not about who you are, but about what you do. Emissary does music. He plays various instruments, including the mridangam, a percussion instrument. His present album is not religiously motivated. In this case ‘Christian’ refers to the name of a friend.

Saddles is a band from Phoenix, Arizona. The ‘album’ only contains two songs, but these are a must-hear and thus a must-feature! On their Facebook page they write: “Some Saddles songs are fanciful stories. Some are embarrassingly autobiographical. Others are embarrassingly autobiographical but are disguised as fanciful stories. All of them are a struggle between accessibility and integrity.”
