You could have at least MENTIONED Brawl in the Family, after all, it IS the webcomic from where you took the first pic of your article.

I don’t think it was fair of you to use artwork from Brawl in the Family and not put it on the list. You didn’t even credit Matt anywhere for that drawing. It just isn’t right.

BitF was originally supposed to be included in the list. The fact that I wanted to put his artwork at the top (instead of those “shiny pretty art”), means I’ve got great respect for him. Again, they were supposed to be included, and at no moment did I have the intention to steal from him.

That aside, your critique about DA, VGC and CAD is unjust and unfair. Not because you don’t like them – which is in your good right – but because you read a list and expect it to match your favourites one by one.

You include a picture of BitF yet don’t include it in the article? More importantly, you included Dueling Analogs, VGCats and CAD? Shiny pretty art doesn’t equal being funny. Nor does popularity. You also definitely need to work on your journalistic ethics, because not only was this article misleading, you also didn’t credit Matthew Taranto with the art you stole from his comic. You should have at least had the decency to list him. Do you think it’s peachy-keen to rip off things from other people without even so much as mentioning them?

Christ with you people.. All you know-it-all bashers seem to be under the impression that in order for someone to say a some comics are in their opinion cool, they’d have to had read EVERY SINGLE WEB COMIC RELEASE KNOWN TO MAN before they have a right to speak..

To me the list seems valid, didn’t see any bad comics listed there and found a few new ones that I hadn’t personally read before; my thanks to mr.Slangen for that. For the rest of you who didn’t find your favourite web comic in this particular list, GET OVER IT, it doesn’t make the comics any less appreciated overall just because every single person who’s granted an internet connection isn’t automatically familiar with them.. Sheesh.

Wha? You used a picture from BitF and didn’t put it on this list? Also, I’m surprised that The Order of the Stick and Fanboys aren’t on here. I’m questioning how much you actually know about these comics with your comment about Penny Arcade’s update schedule, it seems to me you should /at least/ know that if you’re writing an article on gaming webcomics.

Well it seems you are missing information thats all. PA aside from their successful webcomic have started a charity, convention and have an actually video game based on their work.

PVP also had a series adaptation by the same company that did CTRL+ALT+DEL’s. PVP’s creator is also part of a group that does podcasts on the webcomic creating process called Webcomics weekly.

Dueling Analogs? Long running? Well known? wtf? It’s been going for a meager three years and I’ve never once seen it posted or referenced on a forum, unlike PVP, PA, CAD, etc. Who wrote this tripe and what idiots are paying them? Also, isn’t Blind Ferret behind like half of these comics?

Not only, as mentioned, is PA on a regular 3-a-week schedule, but PvP is published every weekday. And its interesting that you mention the huge popularity of ctrl-alt-del when PA is just just as popular.

Let me second that: Penny Arcade is the most regular, reliable webcomic I have seen. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, without fail. Even hinting that they are “not always so regular” is doing them a disservice.

Penny Arcade is on a very clear Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule, and I don’t remember them ever missing it. Where in the world to the comments on their schedule come from?

Number 2 from the top, Penny Arcade, has posted precisely 3 strips a week, M W F, for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been reading it since about 6 months after they wrote the first strip. They’re one of the few that are absolutely punctual with releasing a strip by the end of the day on those days.
