From their Facebook Biography: “Blacks& started as a late night living room recording project, fueled by whiskey and head-nods in the summer of 2011. Donald Eley (The Sea of Cortez) and Tiger Smith (NazcarNation, The Sea of Cortez) passed instruments back and forth while vagabond (and spiritual guide) Jutty Shark gave the tracks a Midas sheen with sun inspired vocals. Blending island pop with refined, angular grooves, Blacks& are carving out their own nook in the LA music scene. The group rounded out its rhythm section by bringing on Jutty’s childhood friend Jules Bellin (POLLS) to play drums.

Not as much raised by, as catapulted from, the best of Fugazi, Superchunk and J Mascis, Mass Solo Revolt has taken a blueprint drawn years ago and built a sonic empire with it’s own unique laws, the first being this: without fail, you must always, always pay attention.

Noise Exposure – Selftitled EP

Genre: alternative, psychedelic, dark, wave, pop, post-punk

From Music Fans Mic: “This is the sound of a Manchester band who seem to have discovered some kind of parallel existence underneath the Earth’s crust. Everything – bar tambourines and a guitar pedal – stems from an otherworldly location. Vocals are both lifeless and dead in the ground and yet, somehow, it’s these which hit the hardest, amongst Noise Exposure’s vast, expansive array of dark instrumentation. You learn to be lured towards the dark side, where there’s no way back.
