Google has just announced a new search feature, which lets you search within and across your Google+ photo albums from Google Search itself. All you have to do is need sign into the account you use to store your Google+ photo albums and fire away with a keyword. What takes this search technology up a notch is Google's introduction of machine learning and computer vision to the way it recognizes specific photographs.

Evernote Adds Reminders Feature To Its Web, Mac, and iOS Apps [Updates]

On Thursday, Evernote released a much requested Reminders feature for its popular notebook application. In a blog post, the company says that the new feature includes in-app and email alarms, quick notes based on to-do lists, and the ability to pin notes to the top of your note list — all rolled into one. The new update will be available on Evernote's Web, Mac and iOS versions — for both free and Evernote Business users.

Google Discontinues Google Checkout, Offers Google Wallet Instead [Updates]

Google Checkout is the next Google service to be discontinued, and will be closing shop on November 20th. The payment gateway will cease operations in favor of Google Wallet. Google Checkout is a PayPal alternative for Web merchants, and also the favored transaction medium for Google Play developers. Google expects the transition to be smooth as it announced its focus on Google Wallet as the new medium of commerce.

In one inspiring move, Yahoo! has upped the ante by offering a full 1 Terabyte of space to all Flickr users, and by updating the already-dated Flickr interface. To put things into perspective, 1 TB amounts to over 500,000 original, full-resolution, pixel-perfect, brilliant photos, according to Yahoo!. The free TB offer comes neatly packaged in a completely redone user interface which is bigger, neater, and far more appealing than the old photo stream.

Google announced at its I/O Developers Conference on Wednesday that Google+ will receive several new features that affect users' Streams, Hangouts, and Photos. There are 41 features in total, and each one is aimed at the benefit of its users. The most notable of these changes is the redesigned layout for the Google+'s Stream. Revealed by Google's Vic Gundotra at the conference, the redesign features new animations and cards that closely resemble Google Now, although a better comparison would be to Pinterest's pinboard-like layout.

Google I/O has brought a flurry of news from the search giant including the announcement of a new cross-platform messaging service called Hangouts. Integrating with a fresh-looking Google+, the new application for iPhone and Android works seamlessly with the Web version of the messaging app found in Google+ to connect users in real-time. The platform is billed as a replacement for Google Talk and Voice, allowing one-on-one and group chats via text, along with media messaging and video calling.

Xbox 360 users, soon you'll no longer have to struggle with the awkward math that the Microsoft Points system currently offers. Microsoft recently told tech pub The Verge that it will ditch the system in preparation for its new console release. Instead of forcing users to convert their real-world cash to the imaginary currency, Microsoft will start using gift cards and vouchers holding real currency.

Post scheduler Buffer has added a new retweet option, letting you schedule not only your Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and App.net posts, but also your retweets. According to Buffer, this was one of the most requested features on their feedback forum, and is now available on Buffer's Web interface, as well as with any iOS and Android Twitter app you prefer.

Firefox 21 Launches With New Social Integrations, Do Not Track Improvements, & More [Updates]

Version 21 of Mozilla Firefox is now available, with version 20 of the browser released only last month. Included in the latest version is the addition of multiple social providers, enhanced three-state UI for Do Not Track, and plenty of other items. The desktop update is available for Windows, Linux, and OS X. Firefox is also rolling out a gradual update on Google Play for Android users.
