looks like a scam? The download works fine, those who experience issues are prbably using Intenter Explorer and didn’t read download instructions properly.

WHY! Bother with a password, you can’t download them anyway other than a small box in the center of your screen.

I spend more time trying to get these stupid thing to download.

I’ve loaded Foxit, Adobe Reader, nothing seems to work, either you fix the problem or just stop wasting every one’s time

try Firefox or Chrome. If using Internet Explorer, try following:

Note for Internet Explorer users: If the guide is loading in a small window for you, please come back to this page and right click on the Download it Now link, and select Open in a New Tab. Enter your password in the box on the new tab, and the guide should now show full screen.

Stop whinging, it makes you sound arrogant. The download worked for me, as have all MakeUseOf downloads!

No issues here, and never have had an issue downloading from this site, or any other. Sounds like user error to me. However, to avoid sounding like an ass, I’ll attempt to be helpful… Tip: Don’t try to download this, if you can’t figure out how to download a simple document file, then perhaps you’re better off without access to something like bitcoin. Honestly, it’s for your own good.

    Aibek,

The download window looks tiny in IE, but once it is saved it opens in a full sized window.

  • OrangeDolphin

i had few issues with the manual, namely the Securely Sync Your BitCoins for Mac OS X part:
    1) 100MB for the VED isn’t enough. The Bitcoin file in Library has 129MB.
    2) Even after dedicating 300MB, the Bitcoin clients exits shortly after start quoting low disk space.
    3) OS X Lion won’t let you see the Library folder in Finder. You have to use the Go To menu or do it in Terminal.
    4) Make sure you eject the DMG used to install the Bitcoin application in the first place – otherwise the system will use “/Volumes/ Bitcoin 1″ as the address for the Truecrypt-mounted file. Also in Terminal the last part of the link must read “/Application Support/Bitcoin” with a “” before the space.
