The First Unofficial Guide To Dropbox

You’re at the coffee shop. You need to access a file that has information about your work, but as you attempt to find the file you realize you saved the work on your desktop computer, but only have your laptop with you. You have no way to access the file.

Enter Dropbox. This program acts as a “magic pocket” which is always with you and contains whatever you place in it. Put a file into your Dropbox and it’s on all of your computers and mobile devices.

But there’s more to Dropbox: you can use it for file sharing, backing up your data, syncing files between computers and even remotely control your computer. If you’re not using Dropbox yet, you should be.

This guide has all you need to get started. Informative, easy to read and completely free.

I want to download the Dropbox guide, but no way to do it without “sharing” on a social network (Twitter, etc.). I subscribe to the newsletter, but that’s not enough, apparently, to let me download the guide. I don’t use Facebook, Twitter, Google or Microsoft social webbing and have no desire to do so.

When someone subscribes to newsletter they receive a welcome email with the download password to the file. You didn’t get it? Also make sure to check junk mail folder in case our email got mistakenly pushed there. Happened a couple of times in the past.

Well, I subscribed now 4 times for the newsletter – never got an email from you. Thus no password

      Hello Log,

I just emailed you the password. It’s possible that the subscription did not go through or that the confirmation emails went to your spam folder. Please let us know if there really is an issue with the subscription. Thank you!
