wow great job! this is a very well done list I have to say. There are so many apps is hard to narrow them down tough…if you skim videogames and photofilter you’re already halfway tough lol for any finance and accounting needs I found a great list and more here: http://www.mevvy.com/articles/manage-your-finances-on-the-go-and-on-any-device/

An old list with many retired apps and many new ones not listed, but nonetheless a great starting point for new and experienced Mac owners.

Sorry to say but Skitch do not belong to “best mac apps” any longer. Version 2 destroyed a lot of the best things. You can still download version 1 from evernote.com but until they fixed it I think one should go fore another app

Open all strange format you can get. It is also a very good for photo editing but there is a lot nowadays

GIMP is the way to go. With the improved user interface for mac, the toolbars and menus are now streamlined just like on Windows or in photoshop. For someone with a small screen (like myself), losing track of which toolbar or open project went where is a pain. The new interface is so pretty and productive!

Great collection, although the browser listing could have a few more apps listed.
