The Idiot’s Guide To Adding Website Bookmarks On Your Google Chrome New Tab Page

For the past couple of years now, I have more or less been exclusively using Google Chrome as my day-to-day work browser. It is simply one of the best products that Google has ever produced. But saying that, there are some irritating things about Chrome that really bother me. One of them was not being able to bookmark any site I wanted to on my New Tab page. But now I have found the solution and I want to share it with all of you.

IM+: A Free Multi-Protocol Instant Messaging Client [iPhone]

If there’s one thing I’d like to see in the next few years it’s more protocols being added to Apple’s Messages app for iOS. iMessage is a wonderful thing, but your friends need to be on their iPhone, iPad or Mac running Mountain Lion in order to talk to you, and the platform is still relatively new. Until Apple decides to add Google Talk, AIM and other protocols to its core iOS app, we’ll have to make do with dedicated alternatives.

The Scourge Of The Web: Fake Reviews & How To Spot Them

“User reviews” are actually a pretty recent phenomenon. Before the prevalence of the Internet, user reviews were called testimonials, and you’d only see them on TV commercials and product pages. Nowadays, anyone can write anything on any product – and there’s no filter for what you can say. Enter the problem of fake and falsified user reviews.

Pinterest For iOS Put To The Test – Was It Worth Waiting For?

Pinterest, the visual social network, has been with us for quite a while, but has only recently joined the mobile world with its own official app. Pinterest is not the first social network to be late with its mobile apps; Facebook, for example, did not release an official iPad app until last year, and when it did, I wasn’t too overwhelmed. For these reasons, it took me a while to realize that an official Pinterest app was really out there.

PasteBin Makes Using Pastebin.com Easier & Straight From The Desktop [Windows]

Pastebin is recognized Internet-wide as the place to go to paste your data and code snippets. Many people probably know of the service through releases by groups like LulzSec, but it serves a much greater purpose than just dumping hashed passwords and email lists. Pastebin.com is useful in any scenario where you’ve got a ridiculous chunk of text that you need to spit out in a clean and efficient way.

Using Google Chrome? Here’s How to Reach Under The Hood & Customize Special Settings

Chrome is one of my favorite Google products. Google got a few core, basic principles right in its design, and instead of becoming bloated over time like most software, Chrome remained svelte, secure, and very, very fast. That doesn’t mean Chrome can’t be customized. There are countless add-ons in the Chrome Web Store, many of which work well without adding bloat. But today I’d like to discuss a different sort of customization.
