Banned: What Happens When Facebook Doesn’t Like You [Feature]

When I interviewed Mark S. Zuckerberg, I thought that he was a charming, polite guy. When he talked, he did so with a typically Midwestern drawl. He has raised a large family and has a massively successful bankruptcy law practice in Indianapolis, and is widely regarded as an expert in his field. Searching YouTube with the query ‘Mark Zuckerberg Indiana’ brings up countless media interviews and appearances. He also has no connection to the Facebook founder, other than his name and his Jewish heritage. And yet, this got him banned from Facebook.

Have Better Social Conversations With Replies And More For Google+ [Chrome]

I will say that Google+ has moved out of the shadows and is a viable social network for a lot of specific purposes. The Google+ experience is growing on me. That’s why I really liked what the Chrome extension called Replies and More for Google+ brought to my social conversations. It is a recommended install from our Best Chrome Extensions page.

Don’t Waste Your Sleep – Apps and Hardware to Induce Lucid Dreaming

It’s rare for technology to have such a developed presence in what are otherwise considered quite holistic practices, but lucid dreaming is one of those subjects where technology has indeed come a long way. Today I’m going to take a look at lots of different hardware and software that’s been developed to help lucid dreamers the world over.

AppsFire – The Best App Finding Deals & Paid Apps Free [iOS]

Are you looking for a way to get some great applications on iOS without spending a dime? There are plenty of good applications on the App Store that are already free, but it’s even better when you actually manage to find an application that would normally cost money for free during a promotional period. The problem is, of course, that there are a lot of applications on the App Store going free at arbitrary times.

5 Essential Websites For Planning A Trip To The Beach

A day at the beach is often imagined as the most relaxing vacation possible. But, like any trip, a visit to the beach isn’t always ideal. Coastal areas can have weather conditions dramatically different from those just fifty miles inland and water temperatures may be cold even when the weather is nice. Just a few minutes of planning can ensure that your day (or week) at the beach is beautiful rather than windy, rainy or cold.

Rdio Takes Aim At iTunes With Launch Of Video Streaming Service Called Vdio [Updates]

Popular music streaming service Rdio has launched a new service designed called Vdio. As the name implies, the new website is all about video, and is only launching in two countries at first: the US and UK. Current unlimited Rdio subscribers receive a $25 credit to try out the service, and the same goes for anyone who subscribes to Rdio over the next 2 months.

Twitter Revamps Its Android App Making Content Even Easier To Reach [Updates]

Twitter has released a new version of its Android app, with a significant re-design that makes it easier to connect with the content you want to read. The new design, which is “crafted for Android 4.0+” features wider and taller timelines that fill the entire screen, giving you more content to read at a glance. It also comes with a flat, margin-less navigation bar on top, tap and hold for more options such as retweeting, and swipe edge to edge across the screen for easier navigation.

Don’t Pay Up – How To Beat Ransomware!

Just imagine if someone showed up on your doorstep and said, “Hey, there’s mice in your house that you didn’t know about. Give us $100 and we’ll get rid of them.” This is the Ransomware Scam in its original form. There actually used to be people that would go around, let pests into your house and then knock on your door and point them out to you. “Good thing we saw them while driving by!” This scam must be making someone some good money because it’s still going on.
