Twitter Revamps Its Android App Making Content Even Easier To Reach [Updates]

Twitter has released a new version of its Android app, with a significant re-design that makes it easier to connect with the content you want to read. The new design, which is “crafted for Android 4.0+” features wider and taller timelines that fill the entire screen, giving you more content to read at a glance. It also comes with a flat, margin-less navigation bar on top, tap and hold for more options such as retweeting, and swipe edge to edge across the screen for easier navigation.

Don’t Pay Up – How To Beat Ransomware!

Just imagine if someone showed up on your doorstep and said, “Hey, there’s mice in your house that you didn’t know about. Give us $100 and we’ll get rid of them.” This is the Ransomware Scam in its original form. There actually used to be people that would go around, let pests into your house and then knock on your door and point them out to you. “Good thing we saw them while driving by!” This scam must be making someone some good money because it’s still going on.

Do You Love or Hate April Fools’ Day Online? [We Ask You]

It’s now April, which means the one day of the year which celebrates jokers, pranksters, and trolls is over for another 12 months. I am of course referring to April Fools’ Day, an invented holiday that falls on April 1 each year. Some people love it, others hate it; there is very little middle ground. In the real world most people don’t bother playing tricks on people for April Fools’, a fact we should all be grateful for.

Got Drums? Funkbox Emulates 14 Vintage Drum Machines [iOS]

Yesterday I reviewed AudioBus, a system for iOS that allows users to connect compatible music apps together. AudioBus offers a taste of the future when it comes to tactile music creation, but in order to use it you’ll need some compatible apps – apps like Funkbox. Funkbox provides faithful emulation of a series of classic drum machines, many of which have been used countless times.

Make Animated GIFs & Cinemagraphs [Android]

The GIF image format is one of the staples of the Internet, allowing for animations to be shared with other people who aren’t standing in the same room as you. It’s one of the oldest image formats to have become mainstream, but it’s still used regularly even today and creative people are pioneering new uses for GIFs, such as the cinemagraph. A cinemagraph is a GIF that is mostly a still image with one small section being animated.

Cut The Crap, Facebook – Give Me What I Want To Read

Every since its launch, we’ve seen Facebook change. And change. Again, and again, and again. While many changes are actually for the best, there’s one thing these updates never fails to add to our news feed: more clutter. There’s also something our ever-growing list of friends never fails to bring to our news feed: even more clutter. Are you ready to change that?

Simeranya – A Complete Solution To Downloading Music & Video Off The Web [Windows]

There are a handful of ways to do it, but we’re always looking for a more efficient and easier way to download content that we stream from websites online. You and every one of your friends probably already know a viable method of saving a local copy of your favorite music from YouTube. It’s one of those tips that everyone on the internet passes around.
