For students, there haven’t been a lot of quality apps for Android to track our class schedule, notes, and homework. Yes, there’s Google Calendar; Google Tasks, Astrid, or Taskos; and Google Docs, but those tools are made for general-use purposes, and aren’t tailored to be a student’s best friend. However, a few student-specific management applications now exist, and one of them is well worth mentioning.

Even if you happen to be working on a brand-new computer right now, I can almost guarantee your system is overloaded with crap you really don’t need, and would be better off without.

Recently, I have become a huge fan of dubstep (a.k.a. drum & bass). I used to listen exclusively to metal and hard rock. Before I discovered dubstep, I would not go near electronic music with a ten-foot pole. However, the “hardness” of dubstep drew me in, and it has quickly become one of my favorite genres. Due to the “underground” nature of dubstep, finding quality new artists can be challenging, as you cannot just turn on MTV.

Tab Utilities is a Firefox add-on that helps you to control the behavior of different links from different locations to the smallest detail. You can determine how tabs will open or close, where links from external applications open, change the appearance of various tab states, and determine what different mouse clicks on different types of links will do. If this sounds like a lot of features, you’re right!
