Web Of Discretion: When Not To Trust Web Of Trust

Web of Trust scores a website based on criteria like trustworthiness, reliability, privacy, and safety. These scores aren’t determined by Internet security experts. They’re generated by normal people like you and I. Sounds like it can be a system vulnerable to manipulation and improper use? You’re absolutely right! There are a few common instances where you’ve got to scratch your head and second-guess a scorecard.

Plants vs. Zombies 2: Does Going Free-To-Play Mean The Death Of The Series?

Since EA has taken the reigns at PopCap, Plants vs. Zombies 2 has been released for free. By free I am referring to the game being free to download initially, with plenty of in-app purchases to keep the money flowing in. This is a delicate issue but it’s usually something that happens with new games, not established franchises. Seeing it happen to Plants vs. Zombies 2 is a big shock, and it leads to the ultimate question: did EA make a mistake, or is going free-to-play the smartest move for the franchise?

Did You Know You Can Make Your Own Chromecast For Free?

A brand-new shiny Chromecast may only be $35, but what if you can’t easily get one in your area? Lucky for you, a free app called CheapCast has hit the Play Store that can use your Android device to emulate a Chromecast dongle. With the app running in the background, any other Android device can send YouTube videos to the device running CheapCast. It’s still in an early beta phase, so streaming for apps like Netflix still isn’t supported, and you can’t stream entire Chrome tabs from your PC, but the potential for this app is incredible.

USS Enterprise vs. Millenium Falcon: Know Your Facts

Smuggler’s spacecraft versus the space voyager. Star Wars versus Star Trek. This is one fan war that will never cease. In spite of the astonishing size difference, is it fair to put the Millenium Falcon, captained by Han Solo, up against the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D and its crew? How many difference can you spot, and which would win in a fight?
