Who doesn’t enjoy a well-crafted playlist? Any activity can be instantly improved with the right soundtrack playing alongside it, whether you're on a run, hard at work, or in a relaxing bath. But it takes time and effort to construct your own playlist.

Luckily, Spotify knows you well enough to generate customized Daily Mixes, depending on your taste. It also goes beyond that to offer lists based on your favorite artists, genres, and even the decades you listen to the most.

What Are Personalized Mixes on Spotify?

Spotify takes into account the artists, genres, and decades you listen to the most to create customized playlists just for you. If you only feel like listening to one artist, you can pick a list with just their songs. If you want a wider selection, you can go for a specific genre.

The main benefit is that Spotify builds these playlists based on the songs and artists you listen to the most. So you'll always find some familiar bops in them to get you going. However, there will also be new discoveries, based on your taste, to keep things interesting.

The playlists are constantly updated, so you can come back to them again and again and have a new experience every time. And don’t worry if you don't have Premium, because they are available with a free account as well.

Make Your Own Playlists

While it's nice to have personalized lists without the need to curate and source the songs yourself, you may sometimes be in the mood for very specific songs.

Spotify naturally has the option to create your own playlists. In addition, you can share your curated lists on Spotify with your kids, and even create a list with your friends, where all of you can contribute your favorite tunes.
