Storing files on a friend's computer would be a safe storage, indeed! But what about your friend's disk space. Adding files may make their computer run slower (unless Zoomgo prevents that from happening). Zoomgo seems like a good program to save people money on external hard drives and USB flash drives for data backup. All users today have more disk space on their PC's than they need, so I would not mind sharing 50 MB worth of space to backup a friend's files. It makes sense to encrypt your backup files. Just in case a third party tries snooping around your friend's computer, your files are safe.

Thanks for writing about Zoogmo. As you noted we are still in beta and as such are working on new features on a regular basis. Check us out at www.zoogmo.com and start building your backup network!

I also want to tell you and your readers about our brand new Facebook application, “Zoogmo Backup”. Using this application users will be able to let their network of friends know they are looking for backup space on their computers. Down the road we will be adding the ability to remotely monitor and manage your backups by logging into your Facebook account from any computer.

Have a great one!

@ bixoneela

Well ... not really, Demonoid is a BitTorrent tracker. I's mainly used for finding movie/TV-shows/games... torrents.

Zoogmo on the other hand, is a P2P file backup software. Basically, if both you and your friends install Zoogmo, each of you will be able to backup his/her files on friend computer/s.
