The main idea behind YouTego starts with Tegos. So what is a Tego? Derived from “tagging ego,” a Tego is an icon that best defines your personality. You can also add expressions to share your current insights or emotions for a particular Tego. Other users can then comment on your expressions and start a conversation with you.

A set of Tegos of the same category is called a TegoSet. YouTego provides six predefined TegoSets you can fill out: I, I Can, I Know, My Work, My Education, and I love. These TegoSets basically describes who you are. For instance, if you want to show that you love to bike, then under the TegoSet “I love,” you can add a Tego of a bike.

You can also create and customize your very own TegoSets. These TegoSets can then be combined together to create an audio-visual display of your Tegos, called a TegoTour, which you can share to others.

Youtego provides several channels to meet other people from around the world. “You match“ finds you a match for your combination of Tegos. Planet on the other hand gives you the opportunity to explore profiles of other people.
