YouScrobble: YouTube and Last.fm Combined

The problem with music on YouTube is that half of the songs are either of a low quality, an unoriginal cover version or are live in convert. Most people aren’t looking for these type of videos. They just want the original song. YouTube also falls down when it comes to providing information about the singer/band in question.

YouScrobble have cleverly combined the YouTube music videos with the data from Last.fm the popular music service to create a great place to find high quality music videos along with other features and related info.

youtube and last.fm

As you can see from the screenshot below, you are given the song you requested as well as many others that may suite your taste. Beyond searching for one specific track, you can also search for artists, collections and entire albums along with their respective information retrieved from Last.fm. You can also add songs and albums to your Quicklist which acts as a playlist so you can listen to them at a later date.

youtube plus last.fm

YouScrobble is a free service to use however if you want to be able to download a song you like you do have to pay.

Features:

  • Combines YouTube and Last.Fm into cool music service.
  • Good indexing of quality music videos, songs and band/album information.
  • Good layout and structure to the site.

    i just checked it out.
looks like it’s still in its beta stage.
since the service is a collaborative effort of both last.fm and youtube i thought that we can sign up with our google a/c but i was wrong.
u can download 10 songs a day after signing up and 5 songs without a/c.
    look’s promising.
