Yammer – A Twitter For Businesses and Enterprises

Since Yammer managed to be one of the winning startups at the TechCrunch50 conference, there has been a lot of frenzy going around this app in the blogosphere. So I thought this app definitely deserves a place in our comprehensive web apps directory too.

Yammer basically is a micro-blogging service like Twitter, the difference being that it is for businesses and enterprises where co-workers could use it among themselves to communicate what they are working on. You can send direct messages and replies and it also provides for desktop clients and clients for Blackberries as well.
