XSketch : Online Multiplayer Pictionary Game

Got some time to kill? Check out this addictive multiplayer game. The idea behind XSketch is similar to Pictionary, a word guessing board game where you sketch a picture with the goal of helping other players guess the word behind it. Same on XSketch, one player gets a word and tries to help others guess it by drawing clues. The sketcher gets points when someone names the word. The player who guessed the word gets some points as well.

iSketch is far more fully featured as far as I can tell than XSketch. There are loads of categories to choose from certain eras (’60s, ’70s, etc.), animals, things around the house, anagrams, palindromes, and loads of other ones (e.g., movies, famous faces, etc.). Not only that, but it seems like in XSketch it’s only black and white, correct? In iSketch, you utilize a mini-palette to choose from about 20 colors and stroke size in order to describe your word. You can make your own rooms (public or private) for playing, and maybe if you feel like taking a break you can join in the dedicated chat rooms that iSketch has also incorporated (you can also create just a chat room). It even has playing and chat rooms a for different languages!

And for you keyboard command lovers, those are available too!

The only downside of iSketch is that there are no rankings. I suppose if that’s a must, then look elsewhere.

If you enjoy XSketch, then I think you’ll enjoy iSketch (click on my name) quite a bit more in my opinion. (And it’s all free of course!)

If you like xsketch then you should definitely check out scrune.com as well, it’s also a sketch / pictionary game and it’s really nice!

You get to draw a word and other people need to guess what the drawing is.
