WIKAY: See How Any Website Can Access Your Browsing History
If you want to see how easy it can be for some website to obtain information about your browsing history and sites you have been visiting check out WhatTheInternetKnowsAboutYou (shortly WIKAY). This website can quickly list your current history of visited sites by simply exploiting “visited” CSS pseudo-class feature of your browser history’s which normally show visited links in a different color from the regular fresh links.
In addition to listing your browsing history the app also organizes visited sites into categories showing how someone can easily group gathered data to find out more about you and what you do online.

If you want to prevent this type of intrusions and unauthorized data mining you should disable the browser history and CSS styling, more details available here. For other ways to secure your browser I highly recommend you to check out browser addons for Security and Privacy (Firefox users only).

i went to WIKAY and they recommend for Firefox 3.5 to go to about:config and set layout.css.visited_links_enabled to false. can anyone tell me if this is likely to cause any problems to me.
