Was It Up? is a site that allows you to monitor your website uptime and be notified by email when it goes down. The site is a very simple and easy to understand. In the first box, just put the domain URL that you wish to monitor (specify whether it is a HTTP or HTTPS) then enter the email address at which you would like to be notified.

As you can see though, Was It Up? also has another feature and that allows you to monitor the front page for a keyword to appear (or not appear). In my example above, I am asking the app to monitor and alert me if the front page gets hacked with sexually explicit keywords. But you can use this feature in other ways such as being alerted when a particular post, with particular keywords, reaches the front page of your domain. So this app is a particularly useful page tracking tool.
This already useful tool would get even better though if alerts were sent to a Twitter account or a mobile phone.
Feature:
- Monitors your website and alerts you if it goes down.
- Also monitors you home page for hacks.
- Sends alerts via email.
