In the early days of the modern Internet, people knew exactly where to find the latest single: Napster. The early P2P platform of choice was simply the place to grab a single.
It’s impossible to use Russian music search engine Vpller.ru without being reminded of early Napster. Like Napster you can search for any song you’re looking for and download it. Unlike Napster, however, it’s based in Russia and as such is unlikely to be shut down anytime soon.

Finding a song is easy: just type the artist and song you’re looking for and you’ll see the results. Click the result and you can either stream the song or download it. There’s even a button to to “Twit” [sic] the song, allowing you to share it with friends on Twitter.

Features:
- Search engine specializing in music.
- Listen to, download or share your favorites.
- Probably illegal, though the entirely-in-Russian-FAQ means I can’t verify.
