VanityVid: Turns Profile Photo To Video

Vanityvid is an interesting service that adds some flavor to your profile pictures by helping you turn them into videos. So the next time you have a friend click on your Twitter or Facebook profile photo, they could see a nice video of yours instead of just a picture.

The videos can be created through a webcam, emailing through your cellphone or by uploading a video file directly. The Vanityvids can be at max 17 seconds long and up to 20 different Vanityvids are allowed for a single account.

Your Vanityvids would be displayed on sites which partner with them. Currently, the best way to view Vanityvids on profiles like Facebook and Twitter is through their add-ons for Firefox and Chrome. Once you have the add-on installed, if a profile you are browsing has a Vanityvid created photo, you will see the video when you click on it.

Features

  • Turn your profile pics into videos.
  • Use webcam, direct upload or email upload methods for recording videos
  • Free to use. 17 seconds limit on videos.
  • You’d need to use add-ons for Firefox and Chrome for most of the sites.
  • Similar tools: AvatarPhoto, Alpoy, CoolWebcamAvatars and several others.
