TweetSwitch: Lets You Use Twitter Via IM

Simply set up TweetSwitch to access your Twitter account, then decide which instant messaging applications it will integrate with–currently AIM, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, Skype and Google Talk are all supported. Once everything is set up you’ll recieve new Tweets from you IM account of choice, and will be given a contact to add to your buddy list. IM this buddy to post a new tweet. There’s nothing new to install; just use the service from the IM application of your choice.

Just like that you can use Twitter without adding another inbox that needs checking to your online flow.
