Here is a cool Chrome browser extension for discovering new places. Tapl.io lets you find profiles and reviews about a place from an easily accessible row of tabs that lives just below Chrome’s address bar. It can display profiles from services like Citysearch, Facebook Places, Foodspotting, Foursquare, Google Maps and Places, and lots more.

Tapl.io works only if you check out a place in one of its supported websites. But once you are looking at a place you should see a row of tabs which links to the different websites displaying the same place you are looking at. This way, you do not have to search for reviews or pages of the same place, making the research process much easier.

Tapl.io also adds a social element by allowing you to share these places on Facebook or Twitter. The social experience is much better if you are sharing with friends who have Tapl.io installed.
