Talon: Online Screen Capture Tool

Talon is a new online screen capture tool form Aviary. Using it you can instantly capture screenshots of almost any web page you want. It is simple to use and has a bunch of cool additional features.

There are three ways you can use Talon:

  1. Go directly to the site and enter the URL of the page you want to capture.
  2. Install Firefox plug in or browser bookmarklet and click it to capture pages.
  3. Add aviary.com/ to the beginning of the URL  Eg: aviary.com/http://www.makeuseof.com.

You can customize resolution, quality and the region of the screenshots. Once the screenshot is taken it can be saved to your clipboard, desktop or somewhere online. Furthermore, you can edit, crop, resize, rotate, add effects and generate color palletes of your screenshots.

      Sometimes webpages can not be accessed by their server. Try using Firefox extension to get around this problem.

        Yes, I can read the text in the very screenshots that I myself posted.

        By the time Firefox starts up, checks all its extensions for updates, then downloads the Talon extension, after which I have to quit & restart Firefox, and *wait* for Firefox to restart, and then copy & paste the web page’s URL from the browser I *really* work in…. well then I might just as well have used an online webpage-screenshot service that really works as an online service (i.e. in any browser).

    I originally used a screenshot host recommended in another makeuseof article…. only to realise that it doesn’t work!
