When coming up with a name for your company, brand, website, or even online ID, you should ensure that it is not already in use. Otherwise you might end up with a name that already used by people and other related problems. “NameChecklist” is a tool that lets you easily search for available company names, domains and online IDs.

NameChecklist is a wonderful free tool which features a simple interface that lets you search for available names on the web. To get started with NameChecklist simply enter your desired name on the homepage. This name should be one word long i.e. without any spaces.

Once done, the site searches for its social media availability on Twitter, Facebook, Delicious, etc. and for its domain name availability with extensions such as .EU, .COM, .US, .FR, etc. Availability is indicated by a green tick mark and unavailability by a red cross.

Additionally you can get search result statistics from Google, Yahoo, YouTube, and Flickr. A percentage measures how available your desired name is.
