Twit Robot allows you to tweet automatically from your Twitter account. It can send recurring tweets about your product or publish tweets from different categories like “Movie Messages” or “Quotes”. It also helps you to preschedule tweets in advance, set up RSS feeds to publish blog updates automatically, mix and match different kinds of tweets and even tweet upside down messages to add some fun to your conversations.

Although Twit Robot could prove to be a nice tool for businesses, it is strongly suggested that you also interact with your followers at frequent intervals. Otherwise, as Twitter recently mentioned in their TOS, they could block you if they find your twitter account always sending automatic tweets.

Features:

Send tweets about your product automatically.

Also send custom tweets on different topics.

Schedule tweets in advance and publish blog content by setting up RSS feeds.

Advanced Twitter search tool available.

Twittercal is another useful Twitter application which can connect your Twitter account to your Google Calendar by enabling you to add events to your calendar by tweeting.

Here is how it works:

First you need to follow @gcal on Twitter, After that, you need to grant Twittercal a permission to access your Google Calendar account. Once you have done that, you can start adding events to your Google Calendar by sending direct messages.

For example, sending “d gcal meet Elisha at Mcdonald’s tomorrow at 10 a.m.” will add “meet Elisha at Mcdonald’s tomorrow at 10 a.m.” to your schedule. It’s that easy.

Features:

Add events to your Google Calendar from your favorite Twitter client.

Really easy to get started.

No registration needed, free.

Twitter, since its introduction, has come a long way to become the most popular micro-blogging platform with a huge list of users, most of them using the service all day long to update their contacts with what’s happening in their lives and also to make important announcements. If you are one of them then you should definitely include Twuffer in your list of must have twitter apps.

Twuffer lets you schedule your tweets and hence informs your contacts when you are unable to tweet in real time due to some reason. You can schedule important announcements or other twitter posts when you are on a vacation.

As the Twuffer team mentions, it can be used for tweeting hourly/daily/monthly announcements, appointment/milestone reminders, about upcoming podcast or video episodes and much more.

ToAnswer is like Yahoo Answers for Twitter. It is a twitter mashup tool that lets you post your questions about anything to the Twitter audience. The questions then get indexed and other twitter users who know the answer could answer it. ToAnswer collates those answers and presents them to you in a simple readable format.

How it works ?

1. Get a Twitter account

2. Follow ToAsk and ToAnswer profiles (and MakeUseOf ).

3. Ask a question by adding @ToAsk before the question.

Next, ToAnswer Twitter bot indexes your question and posts it on the ToAnswer homepage where other twitter users can answer it. You can also answer questions on the ToAnswer homepage by clicking on ” Answer This ” link below the question and then typing the answer. Further, it also lets you subscribe to RSS feed of the questions which helps you track them from within your RSS reader.
