TimeMe is a free web-based timer and large display stopwatch for your web browser. It can be used to time meetings, class tests or any other events. Due to its huge display it can be easily used in conference rooms with many people or classrooms with students.

The watch can be set to count up or down and also set off an alarm when timer stops. Users may also adjust timer display (size, color, width) and sound alarm settings to fit their needs.

Keeping track of how long you spend doing certain tasks is important for almost everyone. For example, as an online worker I like to track how long I spend on a certain project. Others may like to see how long they spend blogging or the amount of time they spend partaking in a particular task. Whatever you’re timing, you should consider using Yast for the job. It’s a free online time tracking app currently in open Beta.

In its simplest form it works like a stopwatch. You press the ‘Play’ button to start tracking the time and then press ‘Stop’ when you’re finished. However it’s not that basic.

Yast also keeps a log of the time you track, organizing it into the specific days and weeks. There is a timeline spread across the top of the home screen which give a graphical illustration of the recorded time. Furthermore, the actual figures are kept in their specific project folder. When you create a project e.g. ‘Write a Book’ or ‘Work’, you select that project and keep track of the time you spend on it. You can also set the time tracking facilities to begin automatically at a certain time.

You can have as many projects as you like with each one given a different colour coding so you can tell them apart on the graphs.

Yast is a great online tool with an easy sign-up process and no hassle. Anyone who needs an accurate way of keeping track of their hours should use Yast.

eClocking is an interesting free online stopwatch which goes beyond just being a timer. It lets you save your timings and then anaylze them thoroughly using charts and graphs. A personal project by a developer named Ben Noland, this service could become a very efficient time management tool if used properly.

Register for a free account and then go to the timer page to start your stopwatch. You should assign it a tag before you hit start. Different tags could be used for different tasks you perform during the day. At the end of the day (or after a few days), check out the tags based summary of your tasks along with proper graphs. You may also see the data between specific dates. A nice tool to know how efficiently you are doing your tasks.

We have mentioned a number of count down timers before, but none of them is as simple and easy as E.ggTimer. To start a timer on E.ggTimer, all you have to do is type the URL http://e.ggtimer.com/ and then in plain English append to it the time you need counted down. For example for 10 minutes you wound enter http://e.ggtimer.com/10minutes.

E.ggTimer can count down seconds, minutes, hours, days and years as long as they are entered in logical order. The timer will start once the URL is loaded, and when the counter expires it will alert you with a beeping signal.

Timer is a free tool that lets you use Twitter as an alarm for things you need to remember. Like with many other Twitter services all you need to do is add the Timer to your Twitter friends.

Whenever you find something that you want to be reminded about later, simply send a direct message to Timer in the following format:

d timer [# of minutes until reminder] [your message]

Example: d timer 15 check inbox.

5 minutes is the minimum amount of time that you can set.
