VirusChief is a free online virus scaner where you can scan individual files for viruses and other threats. It uses multiple online virus scanning engines simultaneously including BitDefender, Avast, AVG etc., and produces scan results for each engine.

Simply upload a suspicious file and click “Scan”. You will have wait several minutes before the scan starts and produces results for each antivirus engine.

A while ago we reviewed a web page scanning tool which could scan suspicious links for threats, the downside it scanned only one link at a time. Today we came across a browser add-on called AVGLinkScanner which automatically scans all links on every page you visit and marks them with colored markers: Green for safe, Yellow for caution and Red for unsafe.

It also includes a so called active surf protection that blocks malicious sites even if accessed directly from the address bar. For more info watch the demo video below:

QuickScan is a quick online antivirus tool from BitDefender. The application quickly scans currently running programs on your computer and tells you if there are any hidden threats like malware, spyware and viruses.

Filterbit is online malware scanner where you can upload a file of your choice and scan it for viruses, trojans, worms and other type of malware by multiple antivirus engines at once.

Fiiterbit can be used for scanning single files or archives (compressed multiple files) as long as the uploaded file size does not exceed 20 mb.

To start click “Browse” and navigate to the file you want to submit for a scan. Then click on “Send File” button and wait for the upload to finish. Once the file is uploaded, Filterbit will scan it and give back a report listing scan results from each antivirus engine (se screenshot below).
