ScreenJelly is a neat web utility that provides you with a quick and hassle free way to capture your screen activity on video and then share it with others via Twitter or email.

There is no installation or sign up, just go to the site and click “Record” button to start recording. When finished recording just choose how you want to share the video (Twitter, Email or Web) and spread it online. That’s it!

Talon is a new online screen capture tool form Aviary. Using it you can instantly capture screenshots of almost any web page you want. It is simple to use and has a bunch of cool additional features.

There are three ways you can use Talon:

Go directly to the site and enter the URL of the page you want to capture.

BackupURL is an online snapshot taker that allows you to create exact copy of any web page and store it online. The copy will be available even if the actual page is down or changed. This is useful if you want to take point-in-time snapshots of fast-changing webpages and keep them for reference.

SnapCasa claims to have 99.9% server uptime, which is the largest determining factor for new users switching from their current screenshot provider.

For advanced users SnapCasa is planning to release a new low cost website screenshot service with some extra features including the ability to capture any size snapshot (now there are only 4 sizes), option to capture thumbnail images in different formats and compression, and the ability to obtain real-time snapshots. Nonetheless, the current service will continue to be offered at no cost.

ScrnShots is a Flickr for screenshots. Do you like taking screenshots and sharing them with others? If so then you might be interested in this new website that lets you store, organize and share your favorite screenshots online. The service is quite straightforward, simply upload the screenshot, add description, tags, and optional notes. Screenshots can be shared with others and/or embedded anywhere on the web etc.

Features:

Supported image formats: gif, jpg and png.
Add tags and additional notes to screenshots.
Check out Recent, Most Viewed and Most Commented screenshots.
Embed screenshots onto your blog or website.

One of the drawbacks is that the app doesn’t offer you any tool for quick screen grabbing. So basically you should either use the ‘Print Screen’ (or its equivalent) button or get one of the third party screenshot taking software. My personal favorite screenshot capture utility is Webkut (Adobe AIR app). Some more alternatives can be found here.

FreezePage lets you take snapshots of web pages and store them for later reference. What makes FreezePage different from other screenshot capture tools is that in addition to screenshots it also saves the exact date and time, page size and more. Thus it can be used as an independent third party tool to provide evidence on web copyright issues. Whether someone is stealing your content, illegally distributing your images, using your logos … you can just freeze the page and use it as an evidence.

There are two ways to freeze pages: you can either use provided browser bookmarklet (requires sign-up) or just use the form on the site’s homepage.

Kwout is a handy web-based quote maker that allows you to quote a webpage (or part of it) as an image with an image map. Basically, screenshots that can have links in them.

How It Works:

1. Add Kwout bookmarklet to your browser toolbar.
2. Click on the bookmarklet whenever you want to quote from some webpage. Next, select the area you want to quote and click on the “Cut-Out” button to generate a screenshot of the selected area.
