Google Body Browser is Google’s latest educational tool. It is a completely detailed outline of the human body. On the left you will find a slider that lets you select different layers of the body: the external skin, muscles, bones, organs, and the nervous system. As you move the slider, the image of the body on the right is updated. You can zoom in and out of the image and rotate it as you wish. Clicking on a body part highlights it and displays its name. In case you want a particular body part located, you can use the search bar located at the top.

Scale of the Universe is a free and very informative web tool. The site lets you view the sizes of various objects ““ from the tiniest things such as quantum foam to the largest such as the estimated size of our universe ““ while comparing them at the same time. This is achieved by arranging all things circularly. Each circular arrangement represents objects of the same size, with outer circles representing greater sizes.

You can enter the inner or outer circles by moving the slider provided at the bottom. Shapes drawn under the slider bar indicate which size you are close to i.e. if the slider is on top of the shape of a man, then you are viewing things not too bigger or smaller than humans. Of course to get a clearer idea of the sizes, you can always look at the main diagram and read the actual sizes provided with each object.

Moon Zoo is an interactive, free to use website that lets visitors learn and explore the moon online. The site has a lot of imagery of our Moon. Along with craters and boulders, we can even see astronaut’s footprints and leftover equipment from Moon missions.

Moon Zoo’s aim is to educate us about the Moon’s images and what patterns in these images indicate. For example the “Crater Survey” can be used to mark what we believe are craters in the image.
