This Firefox plugin will display an positive motivational quote for you every time you start up your browser, as well as every morning (although it didn’t do a morning quote for me without closing and opening the browser, so your mileage may  vary). The quote is displayed in an unassuming browser pop-up, as shown here:

If you click the quotation you’ll be taken to the creator’s blog, which deals with using positive thinking in order to become more productive and make more money . I suspect this link to the blog is the entire reason the plugin was created, but even if you never click through you’ll still have access to quotes that can make you feel good every morning.

Myself? I know I’m awesome, and I don’t need a Firefox extension to tell me so. Just looking in the mirror reminds me how awesome I am, so I’m good. But if you need a little help this plugin is the browser equivalent of those inspirational posters you see in otherwise depressing offices.

For example, if you enter 46 as your desired number, the tool may well tell you that $46 is the average hourly wage of a mathematician in the USA or the population of a town in North Dakota. You can then choose any of these quotes and use them in your presentation or speech. Using statistics like these goes a long way in making your point and strongly emphasizes the value of a number.

Try a few quotes on it and you’ll find that it works really well, though obviously some of the more generic things you can think of (“I love you”) will bring up so many results as to be useless. Another shortcoming, which Subzin really can’t be held accountable for, is that improperly spelt or phrased quotes will come up as nothing. Be sure you’re getting the quote right before you do a search. Overall, a very good tool that accomplishes to do exactly what it set out to do.

You could either directly select politicians from US, Canada, India and UK or select the custom option from the drop down menu and type in the name of your favorite politicians whose quotes you’d like to compare. Considering the current US election season, this tool has the potential to become a blockbuster tool at least in the US.

When selecting a topic to get quotes on you can either type something out your head or just choose a couple from hot topics list.
