CC:to me is one of those bookmarklets that you are elated to have discovered, and also makes you wonder why an idea as simple as this wasn’t implemented by anyone earlier. As the name suggests, it allows you to email stuff to yourself via a bookmarklet. The best part – you can drag and drop text, images, videos and more from the web onto it and it emails them flawlessly along with the link. It’s free at the moment (sign up needed), and the pro accounts (coming soon) will bring goodies like multiple recipients and more.

As the folks behind this neat tool rightly mention on the homepage, if you are a Gmail user, you can combine this with the ever powerful Gmail filters to categorize the emails you send to yourself. Overall, it’s a sweet and simple bookmarklet that can go a long way to making your day more productive.

If you love getting information as soon as it is available, then the Boxcar app for the iPhone and iPad, which recently went free, is for you. It is a push notification tool that pops up notifications immediately when you receive a message on Twitter or Facebook, get an email or have a new unread item in an RSS feed. It’s easy to use and can be customized according to your preferences.

The app requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later, is compatible with iPod touch and iPad and takes up only 5.8MB of space. There’s a paid version too which gets rid of the advertisements. For email notifications, it provides you with an email address where you can forward emails from your primary account.
