SnailMailr is a web application that offers you a quick way to send snail mail online. It is easy to use and does not require any registration. Simply fill in the address fields and write your letter. In the last step you will be asked to pay sending the mail via PayPal. The letter will be printed and send (US First Class) within 24 hours. The basic letter (up to 4 pages) to any US address costs 1$. If your letter exceeds 4 pages you will need to pay additional fee of $0.10 per page.

By default letters have a SnailMailr logo on them. It costs $0.15 to remove it. The only downside of SnailMailr is that it dose not support international letters.

Here’s how it works – you register your name and street address with them, they verify it and once it’s done, the snail mail you get goes into your Zumbox account and you won’t receive their paper forms, provided the people or companies who snail mail you accept Zumbox as the medium of delivery.

Hence Zumbox acts as your email address for those who usually communicate with you through snail mail and don’t know your email address. It is currently in beta and receiving mail is free. You can also send mail through Zumbox to any other postal address in the US for free provided your business qualifies for their free postage program. Packagetrackr is a cool web based utility which allows you to easily track your shipping packages and it includes all the major carriers like UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL and many more. Just type the tracking number for the package, select the carrier from the drop down menu and you are ready to go. It shows a detailed package summary along with its progress and when it is supposed to be delivered.

There are several ways to watch progress of the parcel using Packagetrackr. It lets you track shipments from your browser, your iGoogle homepage, your RSS reader, your Windows sidebar gadget, your Facebook profile or even your iPhone or iPod touch.
