PhotoTagger: Very Cool Facial Recognition App for Your Facebook Photos

Photo Tagger is a Facebook app by Face.com which helps in proper tagging of your Facebook pictures and lets you organize them in custom albums. It also notifies you by email when a photo with you in it is uploaded across the network, be it tagged or un-tagged. It utilizes its facial recognition technology in identifying your pictures.

The way it works is this – you select the type of face alert you’d like to receive, authorize the app to access your pictures, have your photos scanned by the app and add tags on multiple pictures. It’ll auto-tag most of the pictures, rest you can add them yourself. The tagged pictures are then published on your profile.

TwitterGram is a service that allows you to have your posts made on various services displayed as Tweets on your Twitter profile. Their Flickr function allows all users of the popular photo sharing site and Twitter to combine the two into something fabulous.

Firstly, signing up take just a few minutes and you deal with the majority of your preferences there. For example, if you only want a few of the photos you upload to be sent to Twitter, you can create a special tag for these photos such as ‘ForTwitter’ or ‘Tweet’.

Once you enter in your Twitter and Flickr details and click ‘Submit’, the rest will simply work by itself. There is little or no need to re-access the service again unless you want to change your preferences. All of it is done via the normal uploading method on Flickr.

As you can see from the example below, what’s posted on your Twitter account is neat and tidy with order; unlike some of the links you see done manually. There is plenty of room for a title and the program uses Bit.ly, the URL shortening service to save on space.

For those who enjoy photo sharing this is a great web tool that really requires next to no effort to get your favourite snaps on Twitter for your followers to enjoy.

MMSface is a new website which lets you upload photos to Flickr, Hi5 and MySpace directly from your mobile phone using MMS or through email. Once you register for a free account with MMSface, you can simple send an email or MMS to flickr@mmsface.com or hi5@mmsface.com and have your photos uploaded to the respective sites. They don’t charge anything for the service but you will incur standard MMS charges from your cellphone carrier.

They also provide an easy to use windows application to upload your photos to the same sites from your computer desktop. Currently the service is limited to US customers and supports only 3 sites, but you can expect them to add more such websites (such as Facebook) in future.

PicaMatic is one of the easier way to create photo albums online and quickly share them with friends. You don’t even need to register for it. You can create as many photo albums as you like and store as many photos as needed.

How It Works:

PicaMatic works as a virtual board to which you can attach your photos by uploading. Each board can hold whatever photos you wish, just like the photo album.

By default all of your photos are kept private and are available only to the people you have invited. You can share your photo boards with friends by forwarding them an email or putting the album onto your blog or personal webpage.
