If you are into online shopping, you quickly find out how much of a hassle it is to monitor your transactions. Each store has their own shipping policies and guidelines, and more likely than not, you will have to hunt down your purchases in your mail to get your tracking numbers and shipping information.

But with a new app called Slice, you can have your own virtual shopping assistant. This tool analyzes the transaction e-mails sent by merchants then organizes all relevant information to your account. This will allow you to track your products, view your purchase history, notify you of price-drops, and alert you on subscribed daily deals.

Slice works by scanning your Gmail or Yahoo account for e-mails sent by merchants. Once your Slice account is set up, the dashboard will give you a quick view of your latest purchases. Here you can also find the status of your item, be it an order confirmation, shipping status, or a purchase issue.

Slice also includes a map for each entry so you can see where your purchase is during transit. The app can also notify you if your purchased deals from sites like Groupon or Livingsocial are about to expire.

Slice is a great app for anyone who shops from a variety of online stores. With this tool, you won’t forget any transaction again. It is also very useful for processing returned items, or if you want to manage your online spending.

Features:

Virtual shopping assistant.

Connects to your Gmail or Yahoo account.

Works for thousands of online stores including Apple, Groupon and Livingsocial.

Track purchased daily deals from one dashboard.

Know how much you are spending to manage your budget.

Tracks returned items.

Get price drop alerts.

Although there are many to-do lists and mind-mapping tools online, they still fail to attract fans of Post-It to switch over because Post-Its are still much simpler to use. Fortunately, Thoughtboxes is a cool online organizer that works like a Post-it. With this tool, you can list anything within boxes and have them laid out in a nice singular interface.

The strongest quality of Thoughtboxes is its simplicity. As it is very simple, you can do anything with it, rather than boxing you in on a specific way of doing things. Once you sign up, you can start posting your “train of thoughts” which are basically the general categories for your dashboard. You can then add unlimited boxes within a train of thought with each box laid out nicely so you can see everything. You can also add notes within each box so as to better organize your thoughts.

Thoughtboxes’ flexibility allows it to become a to-do list, a repository for notes, a brainstorming tool, a list of reminders, and more. The tool can be shaped based on what your line of thought is and since it works as a virtual post-it, you can easily delete items when you do not need them anymore.

Thoughtboxes is a slick tool for productive people online. This useful web app is free up to three “trains of thoughts”. If you need more, you can unlock the limit with a very affordable yearly fee. If you work online a lot and want all your thoughts in one place, then you should check out this tool.

Features:

Simulates a post-it online.

Simple and easy to use.

Create boxes within categories that are laid out in your dashboard.

Add items within boxes.

Drag and drop boxes.

Share and collaborate ideas with friends.

Have you ever been to a restaurant and discovered that you left your wallet at home? In such situations, your friends are the best ones to help. Venmo is a web tool that facilitates money between friends.

Venmo is a web service with a wonderful concept behind: it lets friends SMS text money transfer each other. Here is how it works: you create an account on the Venmo website; next you select your smartphone type such as iPhone or BlackBerry; then you link your bank account or credit card to your Venmo account.

After all that is done, you can connect your friends’ Venmo accounts to your own and then pay or charge your friends. Your account history is given a “˜social’ touch by making it visible in a payment stream; this way your friends can view to whom you have paying or charging and for what.

You can also categorize some of your friends as “trusted” contacts; this will auto-approve the transactions and notify you of them.

Features:

A great service to facilitate casual payments between friends.

Link up your bank account or credit card with your account.

Highly secure.

Provides a “trusted contacts” category that automatically approves transactions.

Organizers and planners come in all shapes and sizes. If you are looking for one that lets you manage your week easily, Weekis can be a pretty good option. It is a dead simple weekly planning tool that gives you a weekly view and let you enter new events for each day with minimal effort.

Once an event has completed, click “done” to make it disappear or if it has been cancelled, simply click the “x” to delete it. Drag an event and move it from one day to another.

The coolest feature however, is that the tool is intelligent enough to assign events to the right day. For example, if you type “lunch:monday”, Weekis will automatically create a lunch event for Monday. You can also enter a date instead of a day and Weekis will insert the event appropriately.

Features:

Free online online weekly planner.

An easy-to-use and intuitive weekly planner.

Drag events and move from one day to another.

Automatically puts event in the right place based on day/dates.
