It’s amazing how much of our personal information is available on the Internet. We put so much out on social networks, but we never really think about who can get access to it. Some places that can find you are places you may not want to be found. That is where Unlistmy.info comes in. They show you how to opt out of all kinds of different people searches, keeping your information safe and secure.

When you first go to the site, you will see a quick breakdown explaining how the site works and a link to the list of sites. This list is very comprehensive, and it features links to the opt out page for each website. They are arranged in alphabetical order, so if you know of a specific site, you can just scroll to it in the list and click the link to opt out.

As explained in the FAQ, some sites may need a little more work to opt out, such as mailing your information or faxing. They will give you instructions to do this, but sadly, there is no way to make it easier.

FindPeopleOnPlus: Google Plus User Directory

Find People on Plus is an online directory of Google Plus users. You can search people by name, location, etc and it will show the link to the Google Plus profile if they have it in their index. It shows people on Google Plus who are near you, and most followed Google Plus users on the right. On the left, it has filters like gender, relationship, number of followers and following, occupation, country, state etc. So, a quick glance over the left sidebar gives you a comprehensive demographic data of Google Plus users.

The site looks good no doubt but isn’t perfect. I tried my name and it popped up the Google Plus profile of a friend of mine. However, the developers were quick to contact me on Twitter mentioning that they’ll release a larger index of Google Plus users soon.

AddressSearch: Look Up Email Addresses Of People

If you want to reconnect with a former friend, classmate or a relative and want to find out their email address, head to Address Search. It is a free extensive directory that containts over 68 million email addresses in its database. They check their email directory for possible matches and then run those matches against a telephone directory, which increases the chances that you will find an email of the right person.

Simply enter name and surname, choose state and press “search email”. If there are matches, you will see the complete list. Email addresses are not shown to protect the privacy of recipients. But you can still contact that person via online form.

They also let you do a reverse email lookup, which means that you know the email but want to find out the owner of that email. Simply enter the email and click to check if they have possible matches.

Yatedo: Search And Find A Person Online

Traditional search engines let you search for everything. But if it is people you are looking for, you need a dedicated tool that returns online results about the person you are looking for. Such a dedicated search engine is a web tool called Yatedo.

Yatedo is a free to use search engine dedicated to people-related searches. You can simply type in the name of a person and all online results relevant to your entered name will appear. When available, a summary and picture of each person will be shown in the result thumbnails. Clicking on a result will open up the person’s publicly available details. You can filter these details to obtain news, updates, documents, and books.

Peepmail: Find People’s Business Email Addresses Online

Have you ever found yourself Googling for somebody’s company email address? If yes, then it probably took you a lot of time before you reached the company’s public URL where the email addresses are given. The process can be made much quicker if you use Peepmail.

Peepmail is a free to use web service that looks for someone’s company email address. All you have to do is type in the name of the person and their company or the company’s website URL. While the tool does not work with all domain names, it is still worth a try before launching a manual email searching mission.

Tabble: Quick People Lookup Addon for Chrome

If you need to do a quick look-up of certain people and profiles, you usually hit Google and find a page about them. Tabble is a online profile aggregator for Google Chrome that makes it easier to know about someone by pulling up information from various social media sources and showing it contextually.

Once installed, Tabble will show you icons on the right side as you view a profile page. You can check out their Linkedin, Facebook, Crunchbase, Quora, Twitter, Google and more. It will also show you relevant e-mails from your Gmail account. You can hover over them to read information from each source.

In addition, you do not have to be logged into these accounts to access their personal details. Tabble is a nice and nifty tool for people who are looking to make connections online without having to open up several websites. It is also a cool tool for keeping tabs with people and companies.

People Lookup: Search Highlighted names on Google, Twitter, Facebook & Wikipedia [Firefox]

Normally while searching for somebody online, you search for them separately on search engines and over social networks. This includes opening up separate tabs and typing the person’s name into all those tabs. But if you are a Mozilla Firefox user, you have a much better alternative available called People Lookup.

People Lookup is a Firefox browser add-on. After installing it, you can highlight any name on a webpage and then search for it on Google, LinkedIn, Facebook and Wikipedia. All you do is highlight the text and then click on the add-on’s options in the right-click menu. Alternatively you can use the keyboard hotkey shortcut (Ctrl + Alt + p). The searches are then opened in new tabs automatically, leaving the original tab intact.

iFaceSearch: Search Faces Online

While writing a report or research-type paper on a famous personality you often need images of their faces.
