Kanakku is a new online spreadsheet calculator that combines calculator with spreadsheet. It can easily handle multiple arithmetic, trigonometric and statistical calculations. Like in spreadsheet, math formulas can be typed in each cell and evaluated by pressing the enter key, the corresponding answer will be displayed in both, console and spreadsheet.

The type of the formula used can be also determined using the function keys on the calculator. You can select multiple cells and then choose desired function key. All calculations performed during your session are stored, so you can easily go back if needed. Other options such as keyboard navigation, multi-cell selection, import and export of files, customizable preferences are also included.

Vuzit (”views-it”) is a web based pdf viewer that allows you to embed documents on any web page. It’s fast, easy, and free. It makes it easy for someone to upload the document and then distribute/share it online with others using a simple 2-line embed code. Documents can be embedded on pretty much any website. It works on blogs as well. See it in action at the end of this post.

At the moment Vuzit supports only PDF files, however support for Microsoft Office documents is coming as well.

Also note that document files should be smaller than 50 MB in size and less than 300 pages. Depending on the size, some documents may take longer to load. Bigger documents take longer to process. It took roughly 5 min to upload and get the embed code for 290 page long document.

Furthermore, uploaded documents can be stored online for as long as you need. There are no bandwidth or storage restrictions. Plus the document links never change, so you can link to them without worrying that one day your links may expire and break.

Viewers are able to zoom in/out, navigate document using the scroll bars, easily jump to any page, use keyboard shortcuts, download and save the document as PDF file and so on.

As you can see above, it’s clean and simple. On the other hand, it still lacks some of the basic features like the ability to grab the embed code directly from the viewer, option to download the document in different formats and commenting. If you need such features then you might want to check out previously covered Scribd, Edocr or Issuu.

iPaper@Scribd is a new service (from Scribd) that makes it easy for you to email document attachments to others and ensure that everyone is able to open and view them. It works really simple, just add ipaper@scribd.com to CC field in your email and it’ll do the rest. All attached documents will be automatically converted to iPaper format and forwarded to each recipient. Recipients can view attached files directly in the browser, the only requirement is internet connection. This way you never have to worry whether recipients can view the documents.

Furthermore, recipients have an option to download the file in its original format. So if you sent to your colleagues a Microsoft Word file via iPaper@Scribd, not only they will be able to view the file online but also download it to their computers.

Currently iPaper@Scribd supports following document formats: Word (doc, docx), PowerPoint (ppt, pptx, pps), Excel (xls, xlsx), PDF (pdf, ps), Open Office (odt, odp, sxw, sxi, etc.), and Text docs (txt, rtf).

If you already have a Scribd account make sure that your email address matches the email on file in your Scribd Account. That way, all files you send will be automatically added to your Scribd account as private documents.

We have profiled PDF Escape once before, back then we introduced it as an online service for filling PDF forms and editing PDF documents online.

Recently the guys from PDF Escape rolled out a PDF file sharing and collaboration feature. Using this new functionality users are now able to upload PDF documents and invite several other people to edit them. In a way it’s like a simpler alternative for Google Docs but for PDF files.

Another, quite similar service is recently covered Writer. Writer gives pretty much the same feature set but also allows you to save documents online.
