twitTangle: Organize Twitter Friends by Priority and Type

twitTangle is a free web based service that can help you organize Twitter friends that you follow by priority, your relation to them and category. This method can help you to track tweets from people who really matter to you. twitTangle gives priority to tweets from those rated or tagged friends and show them first on your twitTangle homepage.

To log in and use twitTangle, you must create or have a Twitter account first. Next, there are three unique things that you can get from twitTangle. And here they are.

Rate:

Rate your favorite Twitter friends from 0 (just friends) to 200 (I love them). Just click on the “Rate” to do this. The higher rating the more important the tweets from that person are. Thus you’re likely to see his/her tweets more often.

Tag:

Tag your friends. Click on the “Tag Me” and fill the box with the relevant tags. These tags will help you to classify your Twitter friends based on such relevancies. For example, you may tag @makeuseof account with tags/words like tech tips, web 2.0, web service, and so on.

Groups:

Organize friends into groups. When you click on “Groups” there are three options to choose from: Family, Coworkers, or Classmates. Add your friends to the relevant groups.

Co-op is like a twitter for small businesses and organizations where co-workers can post their work related updates and also check out what their colleagues are upto. Qwitter: Find Out Who’s Unfollowing You On Twitter

Remember we talked about Qwitter, a web based app which helps you quit smoking and is fully integrated with your Twitter account ? Today, we’ve got another Qwitter and co-incidentally, this Qwitter has something to do with Twitter too. In fact this could actually be an important Twitter related third party tool out of the myriad Twitter based tools out there. It has a simple user interface and what it does is very simple too. It emails you when someone unfollows you on twitter.

We know that although twitter can send you an email alert when someone follows you on it, there is no way to know who unfollowed you and when. Qwitter aims to fill that gap and hence make your experience of using twitter a better one.

This might be especially useful for all blog owners out there that have separate Twitter account for their blog and send RSS feeds to Twitter.

Twitter, as we know is the most popular microblogging service which has hundreds of users following each other and communicating in an open democratic environment. And in such an environment if you are surrounded by people with similar interests and work then it could be a great way to network with other players in your field.

Just Tweet It aims to accomplish that by getting the twitter users organized under different categories which represent their field of work or interest.

If you are a twitter user, make sure you add your information to the respective directories ( I chose the Bloggers and Internet Marketing Directories for myself ). Also this site has more information about twitter in general and about the various tools associated with it.
