It’s a common issue when new software releases are found to be less user-friendly as it predecessor. In such cases I tend to stick with an older version. The problem is that it’s not always easy to find it because official websites tend to link only the latest version.

So how can you download previous release? Enter VersionDownload.com. This website archives older versions of software programs and lets you quickly download the exact version you’re looking for.

The site has an extensive collection of popular (and not so popular) software which is nicely organized into categories like Browsers-and-Desktop, Audio and Video, Security and AntiSpyware, FTP and Compression, File Sharing, Communication/IM… etc. You can browse the site, search it by keyword and check out recent additions.
