Want to send a quick note to Grandma but don’t want to run to the post office? 1HRMail is a new service that lets you send letters online. The app lets you write a letter online and once you submit, they print it, then mail it out to your specified address within 1 hour. You can write the contents of the letter using a built-in rich text editor and even insert images and signatures.

Moreover, the service also lets you attach files and send them along with the letter (or you have the option to send an attachment only letter). Currently the attachments supported include PDF, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

All this costs 99 cents which is not a whole lot more than what it would cost somebody to drive out to the post office and buy a 44 cents stamp.

SnailMailr: Send Snail Mail Online

SnailMailr is a web application that offers you a quick way to send snail mail online. It is easy to use and does not require any registration. Simply fill in the address fields and write your letter. In the last step you will be asked to pay sending the mail via PayPal. The letter will be printed and send (US First Class) within 24 hours. The basic letter (up to 4 pages) to any US address costs 1$. If your letter exceeds 4 pages you will need to pay additional fee of $0.10 per page.

By default letters have a SnailMailr logo on them. It costs $0.15 to remove it. The only downside of SnailMailr is that it dose not support international letters.
