The EXIFremover can help you when you intend to share some JPEG images/photos with the public and would like to remove all EXIF data from those files. The EXIF metadata tags can contain hidden information like camera make, date taken, resolution and in some cases even the location. By removing this information you are not only protecting your privacy on the Internet but also reducing the file size.

Using the EXIFremover you can easily delete the EXIF information online. Simply, select your image (s) and hit the “Upload & remove exif” button. The application will erase EXIF data and give you a clean image back.

Get EXIF info is a simple web application that lets you extract and view EXIF data from JPG images online. The EXIF stands for ‘Exchangeable Image File Format’ is a standard for storing meta information such as the model of a camera used, image creation date and time, resolution settings etc, inside image files. The EXIF data is not visible to a naked eye and requires special software.

To view the EXIF data from the image you need to upload an image and hit on the “Get EXIF info from file” button. The app will then show you the data. There is also an option to save extracted data onto your computer as a CSV file.

Hid.im is an innovative web based tool which can hide .torrent files inside PNG images. It is a novel idea because torrent users would no longer need an indexing site to host their torrent file. If their .torrent file does not exceed 250KB then they can upload it to this service and convert it into a PNG image. That image could be used as avatars on social networks, forums and on their blogs.

Hid.im also provides a bookmarklet to decode the hid.im images. It doesn’t require sign up to convert torrents and also provides a Firefox extension.

If you use Google Image Search for searching images and are tired of the same old interface then you might want to try Imagery, which acts as an alternative interface to Google’s Image search and lets you try out some new things. It lets you search images by sizes, color and file type ( JPG, PNG or GIF ).

When you hover the mouse pointer over an image, it immediately pops up information such as image name, width, height, size and url. It also gives options to open the image or drag and drop it to the lower portion of the site in order to take a better look of the image.

After you upload it , it gives you the option to increase the closeup of your face through a horizontal slider. Then you can select a turban from the right hand side menu and resize the turban too, using a separate slider so that it fits your head. In the screenshot below, I got a turban which Turbanizer calls the ‘ Manmohan Turban ‘ meaning the one worn by the Indian prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

Overall, it’s a nice fun tool to play around with.

Upload any image and this tool can quickly tell you what are its primary and complementary colors. What makes especially useful is that it also shows the average color of an image, which is extremely helpful when creating any type of designs around some image.

Although many popular image processing tools allow you to determine the average color of a small section of an image, almost none of them does this for an entire photograph.

Feature List

Find out display primary colors for any image.
Additional color stats: get total number of colors on the image, see top 10 dominant colors, average color etc.
Discard the image’s background from being used in calculations (Optional).
Upload image from your desktop or pull it from any webpage.
Image should be in gif, jpg, jpeg, or png format and less than 1024 KB in size.
Privacy: All uploaded images remain on the server for only 10 minutes and are deleted afterwards.
No sign-up required, simply upload and “process”.

CameraSummary is an online image data extractor that extracts camera-related information from the JPEG images. Just upload your picture and it will instantly tell you what model of digicam was used, image creation date and time, resolution settings and so on. No email or sign-up required.

Actually CameraSummary extracts so called EXIF data. EXIF stands for ‘Exchangeable Image File Format’ and usually is a standard for storing meta information in JPEG images. Most digital cameras now use the EXIF format. You can read more about it on exif.org.

Extracted information: camera model, when and how image was taken, when it was modified, flash used, image compression scheme, used zoom ratio, resolution and lots more (see above screenshot).
