If you read blogs on a daily basis you know that it’s very common for articles to have several links in the article text (both internal and external). Since in most cases internal and external links are colored in a similar way it’s hard to distinguish between them.

External Link & Phishing Highlighter is a simple Greasemonkey script for Firefox users that offers a solution to that. It basically highlights all external links on a webpage with a helpful icon so you know when you’re about to leave a website and go to another source. The icons added to external links are favicons from those sites.

It is really easy to set up and use, if you already have Greasemonkey installed then simply go the script page and click on the Install button to get it working on your browser.

YouTube Auto Buffer is a Greasemonkey script that tries to improve Youtube experience by fixing common annoyances. It can disable video auto-playing, remove hidden adds that are displayed at the bottom of videos, fix buffering pauses and automatically load the HD version of selected videos.

PWNlast.fm is a new online application that adds torrents to Last.FM, enabling anyone to easily download Last.FM music tracks and albums as they navigate the website.

There are two ways it can be used:

(1) By typing pwn in front of any Last.Fm URL (see image below). This will bring up the actual torrent site from where the relevant torrent files can be downloaded.

(2) By installing an add-on which works with Firefox (as a Greasemonkey script) and Opera browser. When installed it automatically integrates a list of related torrents to any Last.FM page, showing full titles, file sizes and the number of active seeds and peers for the MP3 file or an album. See image below:

In addition, every torrent includes a play icon with full preview of the track.

Greasemonkey is an extremely useful and probably the most comprehensive firefox extension. Unlike many other firefox addons that designed to do one particular thing, the possibilities with this one are unlimited.

Basically, Greasemonkey extension lets you quickly add so called ‘user scripts‘ which are designed to customize the way webpages look and function. Once you find the script you need, just press the ‘Install This Script’ button located in the upper right corner of the screen.
