Weezic is a free to use website that has a wide range of classical music for a number of musical instruments. On the site you can search for music according to its name, composer, or instrument. The results are displayed and can be played on the site’s own audio player. Of course, the sources are all legally questionable. I suggest you use this service primarily to listen to music rather than to download it. It’s also worth mentioning that, for the artists I searched for, the results deliver what is far from a discography. If you’re looking to download entire albums I suggest you look elsewhere.

But if you’re looking to very quickly get an idea of what a certain artist is all about, I think this is a good tool to have in your arsenal.

It’s impossible to use Russian music search engine Vpller.ru without being reminded of early Napster. Like Napster you can search for any song you’re looking for and download it. Unlike Napster, however, it’s based in Russia and as such is unlikely to be shut down anytime soon.

Finding a song is easy: just type the artist and song you’re looking for and you’ll see the results. Click the result and you can either stream the song or download it. There’s even a button to to “Twit” [sic] the song, allowing you to share it with friends on Twitter.
