Fotobounce: Tool For Easily Downloading All Your Flickr & Facebook Photos

For one reason or another, you might want to download all your photos from Flick or Facebook to your computer. Either to have the backup or to migrate them to another photo sharing service online. Doing it manually is a time consuming task, so thats where Fotobounce is useful. It is a free downloadable software, which lets you download all your photos from Facebook or Flickr at once.

To download your photos from the web, install Fotobounce on your computer. Run it and enter your Facebook and Flickr credentials to give the software access to your collections. You can either download individual albums one by one or all the photos at once.

Apart from downloading, Fotobouncer is a great photo manager in itself, so you can later use it to organize and view your photos. The software is free but ad supported. If you prefer not seeing ads, you can buy the ad-free version for $49.

FlickandShare: Share & Download Complete Flickr Sets In Seconds

Flickr is probably the first website that pops into your head when you think about sharing photos. Displaying and viewing albums in Flickr has always been a pleasant experience, but what if you want to share or download a whole album? FlickandShare is a cool app that lets you share complete Flickr sets to your friends that they can download in one click.

Setting up and using FlickandShare is pretty straightforward. You only need to log into your Flickr account to connect both apps, then just choose a set that you want to share within your dashboard. You will then be provided with a shortlink that contains all the photos in the set and you can then share the link with anyone through Twitter or Facebook.

For copyright reasons, FlickandShare does not store copies of your photos nor allow you to download anyone else’s Flickr set unless they also use this tool. This is doubly useful for downloading lots of pictures from an event or party posted on Flickr.

Tiltomo: Tool For Searching Flickr Images By Color & Theme

With billions of photos, Flickr has become such a large repository of images that it sometimes become really hard to find what you are looking for. Gladly, a plethora of Flickr-specific tools make it easy and Tiltomo is one of them. Tiltomo lets you search Flickr for photos that are of the same theme, or same color and texture.

Start with choosing one of the many photos recently uploaded on Flickr or search for a photo using tags. Once you like a photo, click on one of the two links underneath it. The first link will display photos that are of the same theme, while the second link will find photos that have the same color and texture. To go to the actual Flickr photo in its original size, just click on the thumbnail. You can also click on “random photos” to start your search.

PhotoSync is a simple web app that lets you transfer all of your Flickr photos to Facebook, and also keeps them in sync. It checks the Flickr account every hour so as you upload new pictures there, they’ll automatically get copied to your Facebook account. Everything happens in the background and photos from Flickr albums are added to matching Facebook albums effortlessly. The best part is that the service is entirely free.

There is a caveat though. If you haven’t renewed your pro account then this app won’t be able to access the older photos there (Flickr won’t allow it to). But there’s a workaround – a geeky one – that you’ll find in the TechCrunch article that we’ve linked to below.

FlickSourcer: Search For Custom Sized Images On Flickr

There are numerous websites that fetch filler images for your site and web designs. But if you are looking for great filler custom sized images, you should check out FlickSourcer.

FlickSourcer is a free to use website that fetches Creative Commons images from Flickr. All you have to do is enter your desired pixel size of the images and optionally restrict the image types by entering in search keywords. You can toggle the site background to white and black to see how the image contrasts with each. The images appear with their photographer’s copyright; this adds a better feel to your designs. To make more image results appear you can click on the blue button at the end of the results page to load up 10 additional results.

Images can be saved by right-clicking on them and using your browser’s “Save Image” option.

If you are a graphics designer or website developer, there is a good chance that you have already tried out the numerous types of traditional color choosers the Internet has to offer. But perhaps what you have not tried out is a cool new color choosing site called ColorAPI.”

ColorAPI is a website that helps you discover and use beautiful color palettes. The site lets you search for pictures on Flickr. Photos from the Flickr results are broken down into individual colors; you can see the main picture and the colors as columns in the background. You select the number of color columns: 6, 8, 10, or 12. Clicking on an image enlarges it and displays the codes of those background colors.

You can choose to view the HEX, RGB, HSL, and HSV codes of the colors. The site also lets you download the color swatch as an ASE file.

Twitpic to Flickr is a free web service that synchronizes your Twitpic photographs to your Flickr account. It works in a very simple way: you start by entering your email address, Twitter username, and Flickr account details. After you provide the appropriate authorizations the service frequently checks your Twitpic photographs and then uploads them to your Flickr account. The syncing process is automatic and you need not revisit your Twitpic to Flickr account to adjust any settings.
