If the site was reported as accessible, then it’s likely that the site is down just for you (eg. problem with your internet connection, corporate firewall). If it was reported as inaccessible by users in your country or other locations worldwide, then its likely to be a common problem.

Unlinker is a Firefox add-on which adds a “Convert in page” option to your right click which when clicked converts those links into images right there on that page. Even high resolution images are resized and displayed accordingly. You could also add it to the Firefox toolbar and use it from there.

As you can see in the above screenshot, it adds a convert in page option along with the other options to the right click. When I click on it, I get the following photos displayed right on that page.
