Daily Pages is a free to use web service that will email you a chapter of a book every so often. When you visit the site you will find a list of books that you can browse through. In front of each book you will find the number of its members and the number of upcoming readings to be emailed to its group list.

You can add your email to the group simply by clicking on the Join Group button and then providing your email address. You will then start occasionally receiving chapters of your chosen book.

Novels on Location lets you search for places or books using the search bar. You can zoom through the map so that you can easily picture the setting of the book that you are reading. This is also helpful as a teaching tool so that students can easily understand the nature of a place and how relevant it is to the book’s story. For example knowing where Cupertino is on a map could help me be more engaged as I read Steve Jobs’ biography. Each plot shows the book title, description, and the specific place setting.

As a user-contributed website, you only need a Facebook account to add your own entries. You can also click to show only your entries. Novels on Location is also a great alternative for discovering new books that finds and explains meaning to a place.

Currently, Audiobooks.com has around 11,000 books available. This number is substantially smaller than Amazon owned Audible, which has over 100,000 books on their service. Of course, with Audible you don’t have unlimited access to the books, so it’s a trade-off. Personally, I’d prefer a little less choice and not having to pay for each book.

In addition to listening in your browser, they also offer an HTML 5 application for use on your mobile device. This way, you can take your books on the road, which is where most people listen to audiobooks. You can seamlessly switch between your computer and your mobile device.

The shortened URLs on BibLy can also be adjusted simply by adding book name and chapter plus version name to the main URL.
