Tea is the most popular beverage on the planet, and not without reason: it’s delicious. If you love a good cup of tea, you probably know the importance of properly steeping your beverage.
Steep.it is an online tea timer that supplies you with a chart informing you how long various kinds of teas should be steeped, and also with a simple web-based timer. Just type how long you want to steep your tea and you’ll be told when it’s done with a pop-up window and a sound.

Another cool feature of steep.it is you can use the timer without even going to the site’s home page. For example, for a 3 minute timer, just type steep.it/3minutes into your address bar and you’ll start the timer. Seconds are even easier: for 30 seconds just type steep.it/30. Even better, you can use the name of certain kinds of teas to time steeping directly – for example, for green tea simply type steep.it/green and the site will time your green tea steeping for you.

Features
- Timer for properly steeping tea.
- Chart informs you how long certain teas need steeping.
- Can be used directly from address bar with custom URLs.
- Similar tools: RateTea, EggWatchers and E.ggTimer.

I wonder whether there’s an option on their page to change the temperature to… you know… a sane scale, not Fahrenheit.
I know the US still use that, but come on, it’s three countries in the world left, go with the flow!
I do not think they have this option. You can use one of the online unit converters to convert the numbers.
